The International House offers short-term housing to visiting international scholars, researchers,
and lecturers affiliated with KU. Under normal circumstances, the length
of stay is from one week to five months. We have available one suite for a couple and four private rooms--two for 1-2 people and two single rooms,
with shared common areas such as an equipped kitchen and living area. The house is fully furnished,
and the rent includes all utilities, including cable and internet.
We currently have an opening for a short-term stay in December. For 2010, our earliest availability is in March.
Scholars must check in and check out of the International House in the International Programs office, room 300 Strong Hall, during normal office hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Please note:
- We cannot accommodate children in the International House.
- We cannot accommodate Americans in the International House.
- We cannot process credit card payments. Please plan to pay by cash, check, travelers' check, or money order.
- Cancellations: If circumstances change, we ask that you please notify us at least two weeks before the start date, if possible.
- Guests who stay at the I-House are expected to wash their own towels and linens, make up their bed, and clean their room so that it is ready for the next guest.
