The International House offers short-term housing to visiting international scholars, researchers,
and lecturers affiliated with KU. Under normal circumstances, the length
of stay is from one week to five months. We have available one small suite and four private rooms,
with shared bathrooms and common areas, such as an equipped kitchen and living area. The house is fully furnished,
and the rent includes all utilities, including cable and internet.
AVAILABILITY: The International House has a 2-week opening in late April. Other than that, we are taking reservations for June and beyond.
Scholars must check in and check out of the International House in the International Programs office, room 300 Strong Hall, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Please note:
- We cannot accommodate children in the International House.
- We cannot accommodate Americans in the International House.
- We cannot process credit card payments. Please plan to pay by check or cash (exact change, please!)
- Cancellations: If circumstances change, we ask that you please notify us at least two weeks before the start date, if possible.
- Guests who stay at the I-House are expected to wash their own towels and linens, make up their bed, and clean their room so that it is ready for the next guest.
- Pets are not allowed in the I-House.
